Project Overview

This single-storey rear extension project transformed the home into a modern, light-filled living space with a sleek new kitchen and re-rendered exterior. Featuring large aluminium bifold doors and plenty of Velux windows, the extension was designed to maximize natural light and create a stunning connection between indoors and outdoors. The project also included significant structural work, the demolition of the chimney, and a fresh render for the entire house exterior.

Our craftsmanship even inspired the neighbors—impressed by the work, they immediately hired us to render their entire house and complete a new kitchen and bathroom project!

Single-Storey Rear Extension

The rear extension became the star feature of the home, boasting a contemporary open-plan design. Large white aluminium bifolds open out to the garden, while Velux windows flood the interior with daylight, creating a bright, airy space perfect for cooking, dining, and stargazing.

Innovative Structural Engineering

To overcome the challenges of the site, we implemented a cantilevered foundation system. By installing steel supports in the ground, we allowed a third of the extension to 'float,' ensuring structural stability while avoiding public sewers. This creative engineering solution enabled us to deliver on both design and practicality.

Exterior Enhancements

As part of the project, the entire house was re-rendered with a modern finish, dramatically improving its curb appeal. We also demolished the existing chimney to streamline the property’s look and maximize interior space.

Our work drew the attention of the neighboring homeowner, who was so impressed with the transformation that they commissioned us to render their entire house and upgrade their kitchen and bathroom as soon as this project was complete.

The small kitchen in the new extension was designed to blend style and functionality seamlessly.
